Efforts to elevate the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program to mainstream education will be intensified through collaboration with synergistic partners and industries nationwide.

Minister Fadhlina Sidek stated that the Ministry of Education (KPM) is committed to ensuring the continuous development and relevance of TVET education. This initiative aims to prepare students to meet the evolving challenges of the industrial world.

"We are currently working with synergistic partners to strengthen TVET. Some aspects may be suitable, while others may not be at the KPM level, and these are the areas we need to pay attention to. That is why expanding these synergistic partnerships is crucial to provide upskilling and reskilling experiences for our teachers.

"This includes the need for our teachers to master industry-level skills so that they can stay aligned and deliver better instruction, preparing our students more effectively.

"Therefore, we always welcome active involvement from all industry leaders to co-organize a series of TVET dialogues between KPM and the industry as an integrated strategy to chart a progressive and sustainable future for TVET education," she was quoted as saying.

Fadhlina, who is also the Member of Parliament for Nibong Tebal, previously chaired the KPM Industry Networking Forum Towards TVET Sustainability at Vitrox College in Bandar Cassia, Penang, on Friday.

The forum, which discussed the potential of TVET students under KPM through networking and collaboration with industries, featured panelists including ViTrox Technologies Sdn Bhd President Datuk Chu Jenn Weng, Honorary Board Member of MSIA Datuk P'ng Soo Hong, and Chairman of the Technology Depository Agency (TDA) Sim Tze Tzin.

During the event, Fadhlina also witnessed the signing and exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BPLTV KPM and nine strategic partners, held simultaneously.
