Led by students from the School of Industrial Management, an insightful panel forum on Organisational Leadership Efficiency took place at ViTrox College on November 15 to provide students with the opportunity to learn from ViTrox’s senior leadership team. 

The panelists featured:

• Mr. Chu Jenn Weng - Group CEO of ViTrox Corporation

• Mr. Siaw Kok Tong (Steven) - Senior Executive Vice President

• Mr. Lim Kim Seng - Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  

Each leader brought their unique perspective and experience to the discussion, offering students practical lessons on what defines successful leadership.

The forum commenced with Mr. Chu emphasizes the importance of seeing challenges as opportunities. He shared his belief that a positive mindset is essential when faced with obstacles, advising students to treat challenges as stepping stones for innovation and growth. According to Mr. Chu, a leader's ability to turn challenges into learning opportunities is a key factor in long-term success.

Mr. Steven highlighted the guiding principle of “Do what you say, say what you do,” stressing that trust and accountability are essential to building strong, lasting relationships within any organisation. Mr. Steven stated that true leadership is built on consistency and transparency in both words and actions.

Adding to the discussion, Mr. Lim provided valuable insights on goal-setting. He encouraged students to adopt the SMART framework — setting Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals. He emphasised that clear, well-structured goals help individuals and organisations maintain focus and momentum, hence sustaining growth and success.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students asked questions on leadership, career development, and personal growth, gaining valuable advice for their future careers.
