Organised by SMK Sungai Ara, the Karnival STEM B40 Peringkat Negeri welcomed students from over 11 high schools alongside 8 industry partners for an immersive day of STEM exploration at Dato Haji Ismail Hashim Hall on 2 October. The event aimed to inspire and expose students from the B40 community to the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), providing them with invaluable insights into future career opportunities.
The carnival featured a variety of hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and industry showcases, offering students a chance to engage directly with cutting-edge innovations. The collaboration between high schools and industry leaders was central to the event's success, allowing students to explore the practical applications of STEM in diverse fields, from robotics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics to environmental science.
Industry partners played a crucial role in demonstrating the real-world impact of STEM careers, giving students a unique glimpse into the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s fast-evolving job market. These partners also provided education counselling, helping students understand the pathways available to them in higher education and professional fields.
