On December 17, ViTrox College welcomed 187 enthusiastic students to our Mega Open Day to discover their passion and explore potential future study path through immersive hands-on activities.
Mega Open Day featured a series of workshops focused on Engineering, Computer Science, and Business Studies, which are specifically designed for Form 4 students from four schools across Penang, namely SMJK Phor Tay, SMJK Jit Sin, SMJK Jit Sin II, and SMK(T) Bukit Mertajam.
The workshops provided students with an engaging and interactive experience, offering opportunities to explore real-world scenarios in various fields. In the Computer Science workshop, students learned programming concepts, such as loops and conditional statements, through an innovative paper game designed by ViTrox College’s computer science engineers. This hands-on activity helped students understand how these principles are applied in coding and software development.
In the engineering workshops, students explored electrical circuits and engaged in creative problem-solving by designing projects like roller coaster tracks. Meanwhile, the business workshops focused on developing essential skills such as negotiation, management, and human resource practices, preparing students for future professional challenges. Following the workshops, students were arranged for a tour in ViTrox campus, gving them a deeper understanding of the academic and social environment at ViTrox College.

Their efforts in delivering hands-on, practical learning experiences allowed students to gain valuable knowledge while actively participating in the workshops.
We also extend our gratitude to the teachers and staff from the four schools Phor Tay, Jit Sin, Jit Sin II, and BM High School for their support in bringing their students to this event.
