On November 29, ViTrox College's School of Computing and Informatics (SoCI) hosted an informative workshop, named “Introduction to Containers in the Cloud” for our students. We were honored to invite Dr. Suzi, the Senior Lecturer from the Computer Science School, University Sains Malaysia (USM).
A total of 15 enthusiastic SoCI students attended the workshop, where Dr. Suzi provided a comprehensive lecture on cloud computing with a specific focus on containers and how they differ from traditional virtual machines. The session also covered essential technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, giving students a deeper understanding of how these tools are shaping the future of cloud infrastructure.
Apart from the technical insights, Dr. Suzi also encouraged students to practice their basic exploration skills and dive deeper into this ever-evolving field to become all-rounders and competent graduates in the near future.
The workshop proved to be a great success, with students gaining valuable insights into current technological trends. This external learning experience has not only expanded their knowledge but also prepared them for future advancements in the world of tech.
