On November 5, ViTrox Academy welcomed 40 bright young students from Penang Chinese Girls' High School (PCGHS) to ViTrox Campus 2.0, as part of the Women in Zcience (WiZ) programme.
WiZ programme, driven by Tech Dome Penang and the Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC), with support from the IEM Women Engineers Section, is designed to encourage greater participation of female students in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Aligned with our vision of promoting equity in education, ViTrox Academy eagerly joined this initiative to expose young women to promising career paths in technology and engineering while offering them a firsthand look at how a tech company operates.
As the saying goes, “Seeing is believing,” and this visit provided the students with invaluable insights into the dynamic world of STEM.
During the visit, the students participated in an interactive career exploration game, helping them to understand the different roles and responsibilities within a tech company and how their skills and interests could align with potential career opportunities in the technology sector.
The students also had the chance to tour the ViTrox Campus 2.0 and 3.0, where they learned about the company’s history, achievements, and its role in advancing technology. One of the highlights of the visit was a walk through the manufacturing floor, where they observed engineers at work, providing them with a practical perspective on daily operations in an engineering environment.
The future is bright, and with initiatives like Women in Zcience (WiZ) , ViTrox is dedicated to ensuring that more young women have the chance to step into the spotlight and make their mark in the world of STEM.
