BATU KAWAN, PENANG - 22 OCTOBER 2026 – ViTrox Corporation Berhad is honoured to support the Penang International Science Fair (PISF) 2026 as an industry partner. Organised by Penang Science Cluster, the fair will take place on 21 and 22 November 2026 under the theme "Innovation in the Age of AI". For the first time, the fair welcomes participants from every state and federal territory in Malaysia, with more than 2,500 projects across seven competitions and 56 types of activities, supported by 69 companies, organisations and institutions.
ViTrox's participation spans 1,200 sq ft of interactive space across two zones, with a combined 1,600 learning kits for students to build, test and take home. The 800 sq ft ViTrox Exhibition Booth and Machine Vision Workshop is equipped with 900 learning kits, while the 400 sq ft MakerLab Schools Workshop offers another 700.
Through the MakerLab Schools Workshop, ViTrox sponsors the equipment and learning kits for students from SMJK Chung Ling, SMJK Phor Tay and SMJK Jit Sin, giving them the platforms and tools to share their projects and hands-on activities.

Students explore ViTrox's interactive AI games, including Spot the Defect, Bloom, Riddle Machine and Says, discovering first-hand how machines can see, hear and respond.
At the ViTrox booth, visitors can discover how machines "see", "hear" and "think" through four interactive AI games:
Spot the Defect – Participants race to find defects, just as ViTrox's vision inspection systems do on real production lines.
Bloom – Players use their facial expressions and voice level to make a digital flower bloom.
Riddle Machine – Players pick an answer, and the machine narrows it down through a series of questions until it lands on the right one.
Says – An interactive game that senses players' gestures, motion and voice.
Together, the games show young visitors that AI and machine vision are not distant concepts, but technologies built and used right here in Penang.

Ahead of the fair, special-needs students were among the first to try the activities during the PISF 2026 launch. Puan Lee Yee Yong, Headmistress of SJKC Sum Min, which runs an integrated Special Education Programme (Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi), attended with three teachers and 12 special-needs students, who thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on activities.
"My students really enjoyed the experience. Thank you for giving them this wonderful opportunity," said Puan Lee.

YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang, delivering his speech at the launch of the Penang International Science Fair (PISF) 2026.
ViTrox's involvement reflects the message of Penang's Chief Minister, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, at the PISF 2026 launch. "Today we design chips. We create our own intellectual property," he said.
He added that "the real race of the next decade is the race for talent. That race does not begin in a boardroom. It begins in the school hall and the science fair." Describing what the fair means to young visitors, he said: "Every year I see the same thing happening. A child walks in. A child walks out on fire. That is what this fair is about."
Addressing industry partners directly, the Chief Minister said: "You are the bridge between the classrooms and boardrooms. In today's economy and job market, that bridge matters more than ever. Keep it strong."
For ViTrox, supporting PISF is part of a wider commitment to talent development, which also led to the establishment of ViTrox Academy to bridge the gap between education and industry and help meet Malaysia's growing need for skilled engineering talent. Above all, ViTrox believes every young Malaysian, regardless of background or ability, deserves the chance to learn, explore and discover what technology can do. By making hands-on learning accessible to all, we hope to help build a more inclusive and future-ready community.
