The moment marks a significant milestone in the college’s mission to nurture industry-ready talent through integrated, work-based learning.
PENANG, 22 NOVEMBER 2025 – ViTrox College celebrated a major milestone today as its first-ever batch of students officially graduated. Twenty-one pioneers crossed the stage, marking the successful completion of the college’s first "college-in-a-factory" programme as they began their careers as professional engineers. For this inaugural class, the day was more than just a ceremony; it was the conclusion of a unique and rewarding journey. While many students spend most of their time in traditional classrooms, these graduates learned by balancing their studies with hands-on experience within a real technology environment.
This practical learning model helped the students become fully prepared for the workplace. For graduates such as Kong Jing Han and Ang Vning, the experience was transformative, helping them grow in technical skill and personal confidence. The graduation also highlighted the individual progress of the students. Valedictorian Mr Lee Yong Lun was recognised for his hard work and character, proving that determination is the key to success. Other students, including Mr Heah Jian Yan, Mr Bryan Ong Zi Xian, and Mr Chen Zi Quan, also received awards for their excellent performance and professional attitude.
Leaders from the college and the industry attended to show their heartfelt support for this first group of graduates. During the event, ViTrox Co-Founder and Group CEO Dato’ Chu Jenn Weng reminded the students that while technical skills are important, a mindset of humility and honesty truly leads to a positive impact on the world.
This sentiment was echoed by the Principal of ViTrox College, Dr Janaka Low Chee Kong, who shared a simple message with the first batch: “You were more than just our students; you were our pioneers. To see how much you have grown fills us with a quiet, profound joy. You will always be the first ambassadors of this institution.”
As the first batch of 21 graduates moves forward, they demonstrate that when a community supports its young people, they can grow into skilled and kind-hearted professionals. Their success marks the beginning of a new chapter for both the students and the college.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. Your journey has only just begun.
