PENANG, MALAYSIA (21 MAY 2026) – ViTrox TVET recently hosted the Majlis Penghargaan Guru Bimbingan & Kaunseling serta Taklimat Kerjaya TVET, an initiative dedicated to recognising the invaluable role of school counsellors (Guru Bimbingan & Kaunseling) in guiding the career paths of our nation's youth.
The event drew positive participation from all districts across Penang, reflecting a shared commitment to elevating Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a viable, future-ready career pathway rather than a secondary option

Strengthening Educational and Industry Ties
Counsellors and educators serve as frontliners in student development, playing an essential role in building student confidence and illuminating viable future pathways. To support them, ViTrox Academy is actively strengthening its collaboration with schools and the Penang State Education Department (Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri - JPN). The robust partnership between ViTrox TVET, school teachers and Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri is crucial for identifying, nurturing, and aligning local student talent with current industrial demands.
Through this initiative, ViTrox TVET aims to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world practice by offering students authentic industry exposure and immersive hands-on learning. In alignment with Malaysia's National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS) to build a robust technical talent pipeline, ViTrox TVET hopes to extend these learning opportunities to 600 students in its upcoming programme phase, playing a humble role in preparing national talent for meaningful careers in the high-technology sector.

A Commitment to Society and Future Generations
ViTrox TVET remains deeply committed to equipping Malaysian youth with the technical proficiency, skills, and character required to thrive in a rapidly evolving industrial landscape. Through these collaborative efforts, TVET is recognised as a high-potential pathway for practical skills development, offering invaluable opportunities for the next generation of technical professionals.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the school counsellors, educators, and JPN representatives who joined us. At ViTrox, we firmly believe that fostering strong community partnerships and supporting our educators is foundational to shaping a harmonious, compassionate, and technology-driven future for Malaysia.
